(2005-2009)- Leader of a small-team working with Nokia operator customers to create new business opportunities for mobile applications and services, resulting in three key technology features available on millions of smartphones today.- Defined initial vision and negotiated industry support for GSMA Rich Communication Suite (RCS) Initiative that provides advanced mobile communication suite for emerging LTE network. - Led a collaboration team with Telefónica that innovated commercial offering of network backup of mobile address book and conversational messaging user experience commonly used today.(2000-2005)- Responsible for defining strategic, mobile software architecture covering Nokia mobile phone enablers, including messaging, presence, instant messaging mobile services eventually adopted by current smartphone products and collaborated with industry partners to implement two of these in just 18 months.- Chairman of Board of Directors and Nokia head-of for the formation of Wireless Village Initiative, which created mobile access to AOL, MSN and Yahoo instant messaging and presence capabilities now supported by millions of mobile phones.- Vice-Chairman of Liberty Board of Directors and Nokia head-of for formation of Liberty Alliance, which created open industry solution for identity/profile/single sign-on solution.- Member of Nokia management team instrumental in forming the Open Mobile Alliance and chair of technical working groups that developed instant messaging, presence and availability standards.- Led agile, small team, tasked with rapid definition and demo of next generation user experience and user interface concepts for mobile smartphone address book and messaging components.- Nominated by executive team to lead section in corporate leadership training program.
