About Rob Young

Senior exec with a background in tech, financial services, and scaling high growth companies. I have worked at early-stage startups and run business units of public companies, variously holding GM, COO and CFO roles - with responsibility from p&l, through international growth, strategy and corpdev, operations, as well as external board and regulatory relationships.I am currently COO at Bedford, a leading professional services firm in cloud-based enterprise planning and performance management (EPM), with dedicated hubs across EMEA serving some of the world’s largest brands (incl JLR, Sky, Axa, Wise, BBC, Financial Times, Eon and L’Oreal). At Bedford I am responsible for our operations, strategy, and people, and our m&a and sustainability initiatives.At Ondeck (NYSE: ONDK), a pioneering online SMB fintech with >$450M annual revenues, I was GM/President and member of the group ExCo, in charge of our international business. Prior to this I ran Corporate development at Wonga, an early fintech disrupter in consumer, small business and BNPL finance with nearly 1,000 FTEs active across 10+ markets. I have also advised a number of startups in energy, fintech and cleantech, and am currently non-exec chair of InDebted UK, an FCA-regulated consumer credit collections platform. I have a background in computer science, and qualified as a chartered accountant with PwC. Prior to switching over to operational roles, I worked in venture capital and private equity, including at Balderton Capital, Orix Finance, Frog Capital, and Alta Berkeley, and as a strategy consultant at Ericsson.Husband to one and father of two girls - this, and a passion developed growing up in southern Spain for windsurfing, cycling and all things outdoors, keeps me busy :-)
