Everyone has their so-called "thing". When I was younger, I thought that thing would be creating things or performing. After discovering the world of events and my passion for community building during my undergrad, I learned that my strengths actually lie in helping *other people* create things and perform. Talk about a plot twist.Throughout the years, I have found a passion for event planning, community connection, and empowering people and creatives to share their stories. My experience in events includes organizing conferences, galas, fundraisers, workshops and multi-day events. I'm someone who learns best by jumping into projects or jobs that scare me, so naturally, I thrive best when I'm pushed to grow as a creative thinker and a leader. I am detail-oriented and well-versed in time management. My interpersonal, teamwork and leadership styles have all grown through both working in teams and managing them. I always strive to perform with an open-minded, positive, and inclusive attitude. Fair warning: I’m a firm believer in laughter (even if it is directed at myself). I hope to work for festivals and events that provide platforms for creatives to tell their stories. In other words, I want to see cool people do cool things.Life is a fine balance that I haven’t quite mastered yet, but I’m proud of where I am and excited for what’s to come.
