CurrentReceive, classify and direct incoming 9-1-1 emergency, non-emergency and administrative phone calls for the three disciplines of Police, Fire and Medical. Gathered necessary information while remaining calm, professional and in charge.Communicate effectively with the public,multiple agencies and my teammates using clear and concise language. Provide resources to emergency responders including requesting mutual aid from other agencies or counties and coordinating helicopter responses to the scene of the emergency.Operate base station radio equipment using proper radio terminology. Operate a CAD system in the dispatch of calls. Access to criminal justice information systems that require a background check to access. Utilize websites such as Everbridge and IROC. Utilized sound judgement to coordinate the dispatch of police, fire, medical, park rangers, college campus officers, and department of correction officers.Process incoming alarms in all disciplines.Handle after hours call outs for multiple agencies including roads, signals, water district, animal control, court personnel and health department.Work out of class (WOOC) supervisor when there was a vacancy. 2015-present. Supervise and support dispatchers during their shift to ensure adherence to quality standards and proper procedures. Field customer and agency complaints. Contact appropriate after hours technicians to address any problems or concerns with equipment.Member of the tactical dispatch team assisting Sheriff’s Emergency Response Team (SERT) in high risk situations using specialized training, equipment and tactics.Upgrade training officer for current dispatchers going from Dispatch 1 to Dispatch 2 or 3.
