Responsible for the planning and implementation of events for Canadian Diabetes Association, BC and Yukon region, including the 50th Annual Checkers Diabetes Gala in 2003. Duties included management of the development and execution of print, radio, television and direct mail advertising and marketing of the event, sponsorship and in-kind donation acquisition, coordination of volunteer team leaders and volunteer recruitment, event logistics and budgetary planning, event scheduling and scripting, and on-site event management. Chaired the CDA Diabetes Gala Board of Director Committee.

Managed the production of Tourism BC’s multimedia advertising, publications, communications tools and display materials, in collaboration with internal departments, our advertising agency, suppliers and contractors. Responsible for the development and production of advertising, promotional materials and publications, as well as Image Bank operations and staff. Responsible for maintaining Tourism BC brand policies and standards, as well as trademark and copyright regulations, through all advertising and promotional materials. Coordinated development and production of Province-wide marketing and advertising campaigns, including: Tourism BC 'SuperHost' service program; HelloBC.com Internet website; and 'Open Skies' television, print and direct mail campaign.

Managed Hospitality Suite Program, including policy development, marketing and sales initiatives, capital improvements, budget management and reporting, contract preparation, financial management, F&B ordering, and client reception, for all professional sports and entertainment events, receptions, sponsorship and business development meetings, and other special events. Benchmarked 95% occupancy rate for entire inventory (nine suites) for the 1996/97 season (over 200 events).
