I am an engineer-in-training who is looking to connect with people in the renewable energy sector, particularly in consulting or larger project development companies. Please feel free to reach out, I would love to chat!My love for problem solving in fast-paced environments came to fruition during my time designing and prototyping productivity tools for Skylight’s digital platform. Tasked with connecting a complex network of poorly-aligned systems, I made my first (clunky) spreadsheet macros to collect and process the various data. Soon, I found myself learning Google Apps Script and JavaScript as the project requirements grew more complex. Within four months, I released the first iteration of my Google Sheets Add-On which consolidated the sales, architectural, and project management systems into one streamlined tool. Many iterations later, users can save 2-3 hours per project using the suite of 20 functions to automate tasks, filter data, and easily interact with various systems through its clean task-specific interfacesDuring university, I worked in materials research, studying materials properties and analysing their failure mechanisms.. As a research assistant in Dr. Keryn Lian’s Flexible Energy & Electronics Lab, I studied alkaline solid polymer electrolytes for supercapacitors, which offer significant form factor and charge-speed improvements over traditional batteries. I also worked at ShawCor, testing the long-term protective performance of anti-corrosion epoxy coatings, an essential component of building reliable pipeline networks.Outside of work, I can be found with my dragon boat team, tinkering with my bike, rock climbing, or listening to an episode of Sawbones, a light-hearted podcast that discusses the bizarre medical practices of the past.
