•Developed an advanced Python‐based optimization tool to determine the most cost‐effective augmentation strategies for energy storage systems. The tool analyzes battery degradation data, energy storage system configurations, equipment efficiency parameters (such as PCS, DC block, and transformers), and vendor pricing. It identifies the optimal augmentation plan by either minimizing capacity or reducing costs, and achieved an average 4.5% reduction in equipment procurement costs, translating to $1.2 million savings for medium‐sized projects.• Created a revenue analysis tool to quantify the financial benefits of integrating energy storage into existing solar power plants. The tool utilizes historical electricity prices, generation data, price forecasting, and optimized charging/discharging strategies to maximize profit. The results provide a clear projection of daily revenue and guide project development decision‐making.• Led technical communications for the Colgreen North Shore Solar Farm equipment replacement, collaborating with Chinese engineers and U.S. EPC teams to replace inverters and transformers. Successfully managed the integration of new equipment with the existing SCADA system, ensuring seamless operations.

• Co‐authoring the paper named WheelSim – Synthesize Wheelchair Experience with VR for Accessibility Education, which is undergoing the finalization process for its submission to the HCI 2023 conference as a late‐breaking work.• Focus on synthesizing wheelchair experience in VR environment (Unity).• Use Lidar camera to create 3D models including the whole interior of UCLA Powell Library (around 12,900 square-foot) and to attach texture.• Design moving algorithm to simulate wheelchair motion: Oculus controllers detect user hands' gesture (hold and release wheels), and translate arms' movement to wheelchair movement.• Create 12 tasks for user study: use broom to clean small garbage on floor, turn on computer on desk, print a grabbable box by 3D printer, grab a pen and write on whiteboard, etc.

• Contacted top 30 engineering universities' career centers in order to take part in their career fair, and successfully joined 6 career fairs via Zoom.• Hosted BOE info sessions via Zoom at UCLA during hiring season.• Wrote a report explaining American universities' policy, education system, and other aspects to help HR department know more about potential employees.• Scanned more than 100 resumes, selected 36 of them and conducted around 15 online interviews for candidates.• Attended weekly meetings to report task completion progress. Gave the final presentation to the whole HR department (around 50 persons), and was awarded the best speaker among twenty ambassadors.
