We design data warehouse to hold required cleaned business data, use ETL to load raw data from different data sources to our data warehouse, using partition/indexes and create necessary stored procedures to support the quick response front-end reports, using SSAS to aggregate some subset of the business data into cube, use SSRS, PPS to create reports for representation, use SharePoint as portal infrastructure to hold the reports and manage the access permission, use JavaScript/JQuery/CSS to improve the UI experience.My major responsibility included:•Discuss and design the DW structure with team, create store procedures to support the data populating from Staging to DW and the SSRS reports, create view to improve flexibility, create materialized view to improve performance•Performance tuning through many special technology like:Create partition according to requirement, adjust the initial size of tempdb, create appropriate indexes, Check execution plan to find costly operator and the others.Currently we didn’t use tools like Profiler as we tuning the performance before application go live instead.•SSIS Package development and Job development, also using some special technology like partition swap to resolve big data loading issue(our QuickHit project contains billions data)•Cube development to support the PPS reports•SharePoint web part and SharePoint master page developmentCreate our own master page according to requirement, create our own filter web part which derive from the build-in Filter web part to connect with and filter PPS reports, create our own http modules to support the redirection of access deny, create customized list to support user configuration through UI, create customized grid using JQuery Show less
