“Art is the liberation of the humanity insides yourself.” -Ikeda DaisakuArt is the most precious gift that France gave me, and it taught me to look at “difference” with a free and tolerant heart. As an immigrant, it is easier for me to discover the "common" contains in "difference" or the "difference" exists in "common". This kind of sensitivity has helped me a lot, most works in my over 10 years of working life were organizing the events by integrating resources in "cross-cultural", even "cross-class". My curiosity and enthusiasm for learning new things give me the courage and confidence to challenge new fields. As a non-artist initiator, I organized a series of video art salon and " Eight Dreams" art exhibition in the Open-Air Museum of Sinan Mansions, one of the most important cultural spaces in Shanghai to spread contemporary art to the public. The "video art salon" introduced experimental video arts in different themes to reflect on people’s dilemmas brought by the development of hi-tech and social media, 20 artists invited. In "Eight Dreams", I involved media communication; artist cooperation; development and coordination with 7 sponsors and partners. Over 30 media attended in the opening ceremony; more than 7,000 people watched online 1-hour artist's presentation livestream; 187 media reported during the exhibition with a total of over 3 million views.I believe that an individual's actions can affect those around him, and more people should be encouraged to take social responsibility, so I organized dozens of voluntary events in child care, education and environmental protection for corporate employees (e.g.: Pfizer, Siemens, L’Oréal, J&J...). More than 1,000 corporate employees joined in and over 2,000 children benefited. My project of "1001 Wishes" was nominated for "2012 Shanghai Innovative Volunteer Project", and won "2012 Shanghai Potential Public Welfare Project" and "Silver Metal of First China Youth Volunteer Service Project Competition" (2014).I love work that brings value to others, and I take pride in empathy, practicality and diligence. Differences in language, culture and art should not be barriers, but a bond that make us better.
