About Yue Wang

·I have accumulated in-depth knowledge in humanitarian/refugee-related issues and inter-organisational relations (IOR) in global governance. My Ph.D. dissertation focuses on the cooperation among international organisations and its practice in global refugee governance, with conducting a series of semi-structured interviews with officials from UNHCR, UNDP, IOM, ILO, ICRC, IFRC, ITC and World Bank.·My main interests are in exploring durable solutions for forced displacement, improving the effectiveness of current international humanitarian assistance system, and protecting the right to food of the most vulnerable groups in global trading system. i've also dedicated myself to bridging the gap between academia and practitioners upon various aspects in humanitarian sector.

    In terms of research, I'm conducting research on forced displacement, food security, and inter-organizational relation, and China's participation in humanitarian assistance. Currently, I'm responsible for a research project on "Inter-organizational Cooperation and Its Effectiveness on Global Refugee Governance"(2023-2025).In terms of teaching, I teach two courses for master students, one is “IOs and Global Refugee Governance”, and the other is “Inter-organizational Relations in Global Governance”; and two courses for undergraduates, including "Studies on the United Nations" and "Introduction to Humanitarian Assistance".
