Drum Cussac had more articles placed in the worldwide and relevant trade media than any of its competitors during my tenure and appeared on major television channels. The goal of my short-term contract was to help prepare the company for sale. The company was sold in September 2014.

I was the Media Advisor to the 4th Mechanized Division of the British Army while they were training, and I deployed with the brigade to Afghanistan. I advised the Commander of Task Force Helmand during training worldwide and in Lash Kagar, Helmand, as well as his regiment commanders, and worked to enhance the capabilities of the ANA combat camera teams. I was also combat camera for operational missions for Herrick 12.

I was a consultant showing clients how they might counter negative reporting, and how to better provide information to the media to the required timescales. I participated in numerous military exercises worldwide (Kenya, Canada, Europe) as a "simulated" TV correspondent, training troops readying to depart for Afghanistan. I also worked on a British government programme to prepare local councils for handling the media during a pandemic flu epidemic. I was also a simulated reporter on simulated train crashes, air crashes, dam collapses and fires etc. I was contracted as a reporter, presenter and video journalist - shooting and editing my own material.

I was night editor on a regular basis and occasionally the nominated Editor of the Day. I also wrote, edited and voiced television packages for broadcast worldwide.

During my time at Asia Television I was primarily foreign correspondent and main evening news anchor. I read both the main evening news and daytime and late night bulletins when I was in Hong Kong. But I was also often on the road shooting news and documentaries worldwide. I covered the Fall of Eastern Europe from the opening of the border in Hungary to the Romanian Revolution as a foreign correspondent and was present for nearly all the major breaking news events of those momentous months. I covered the Tiananmen uprising and reported from North Korea. I also covered African and Asian conflicts, including civil wars and coups. I became coverage coordinator for the English language channel, organising day to day and long term assignments for our reporters and crews.

I moved onto more entertainment productions for a short time at London Weekend Television before deciding to emigrate to Asia to continue my career.
