About Yue Ren
I have education and training in chemical physics, analytical chemistry and biomedical engineering. My interests lie in the development of mass spectrometry (MS) systems for biological analysis and clinical diagnosis. Over the past few years I have worked on the development of new methods of sampling and ionization of complex biological samples and integrating the developed methods to miniature mass spectrometry system. I am eager to translate these technologies into commercial product that can be applied to benefit people’s daily life. I have founded the PURSPEC Technologies Inc. and I am commercializing the miniature mass spectrometry systems that can be used for clinical, especially point-of-care analysis and other applications including food safety, environmental monitoring, product quality control, and control of drugs of abuse.
