Primarily worked doing Next Generation Sequencing on the Ion Torrent platform - Oncogen and Women's Health Panels. I was the lead in the lab and directed day to day activity as well as handled QC and and trouble shooting with the machines/technology. Skills include:- Amplification of primer pools, sample bardcoding, emulsion PCR and enrichment using OT2, semiconductor chip sequencing using a Personal Genome machine- High complexity molecular genetic lab tests- Other platforms: ABI 3130 Sequencer, AutoGenomics Infiniti Microarray platform, Hologic Invader Assays- Data review and quality control checks- Routine maintenance for equipment, QC cross check- Review and update SOPs- DNA extraction (buccal swab, FFPE tissue, whole blood, fecal and gynecological samples), PCR set up, and gel electrophoresis
