Fall 2020, Winter 2021Integrated Cornerstone Design Projects In Engineering (ENGINEER 1P13) is a newly developed course for first year students where they are assigned to work on multiple design-based projects throughout their academic year. My role was a Design Studio Teaching Assistant; Design Studio is where they collaborate with their group members to discuss and work on their projects. My task as a Design Studio Teaching Assistant was to help them with both technical and non-technical components on the projects. Technical component consists with 3D modelling with Autodesk Inventor, programming and computation with Python 3 and Raspberry Pi, as well as Material Science and Engineering concepts. Non-technical component consists with report writing, communication, as well as other interpretation skills to be an engineer.

Metallurgy and Welding section supports the management and oversight the OPG Nuclear Welding Program. Assist with welding and value added metallurgical engineering support to OPG Nuclear sites in the areas of standards, procedures, specifications, component procurement, fabrication, degradation/corrosion issues and forensic examination.The completed tasks under the supervision of Welding/Metallurgy engineers:-Conducting material specification investigation from XRF results.-Investigating and solving Material/Metallurgy-related engineering problem within the nuclear station.-Assisting to create and validate Inspection Testing Plan (ITP) packages (welding rework).-Performing failure analysis (nuclear/non-nuclear components).-Conducting and assisting ASME code review for Welding Program.-Supporting the creation of the code summary report.-Conducting welding rework tracking along the organization's Welding Program. -Developing Welding/Brazing Procedure Specification (WPS/BPS) and Nondestructive Testing (NDE) requirements selector tool with MS Excel, Visual Basic Application (VBA), and MS Access.
