My name is Yuki Mikami, a third-year student in the Department of Marketing at Toyo University's College of Business Administration.There are two things I am currently focusing on.The first is my studies. I belong to the Marketing Department and am studying a wide range of specialized subjects, such as consumer behavior theory, advertising theory, and statistical data analysis. I am particularly interested in advertising theory, which studies the effects and functions of advertising from both economic and social/cultural perspectives. Even if the content of an advertisement is exactly the same, a change in time, country, or economic situation can drastically alter the sales of a product. I feel that in order to create effective advertisements, it is necessary to look at things from multiple perspectives, and I try to do so on a daily basis.The second is my part-time job.I am a part time job leader at a Korean restaurant in Shin-Okubo. As a leader, I am in charge of the restaurant's SNS operation and human resource development. When the restaurant's sales were poor and labor costs were being cut, I was able to increase sales and improve the work environment. At that time, other staff members who were close to me were feeling stress and fatigue and were having a hard time, so I acted out of a sense of responsibility as a leader and a desire to help those around me.From now on, I will continue to make efforts to become a person who can contribute to the company by utilizing the knowledge of marketing that I learned at university and the extroversion and sense of responsibility that I learned from my part-time job.
