About Eduardo Yukihara

After obtaining a Bachelor's degree in Physics from the University of São Paulo (USP), I obtained my PhD in the Dosimetry Group of the Nuclear Physics Department of USP under the supervision of Prof. Emico Okuno. This was followed by a postdoc at the Oklahoma State University (OSU), under the supervision of Prof. Stephen W. S. McKeever. I was fortunate enough to obtain a Professorship position at the OSU's Physics Department, having led for 14 years a dynamic and well-funded research group in the area of radiation dosimetry, luminescence materials and luminescence technologies and achieving the level of full Professor. During this period I spent one year at the German Cancer Research Center as an Alexander von Humboldt Fellow. In 2016 I had the pleasure to join the Paul Scherrer Institute (Switzerland), first as the Head of the Dosimetry Group and later as the Head of the Radiation Metrology Section, where I continue to contribute with my leadership and expertise.
