Responsibilities and Experience:- Hands-on practical experience operating a manually run gold processing plant.- Learning how to operate crushing and grinding circuits, the chemistry behind the carbon-in-leach circuits employed on site, how gold adsorbs onto activated carbon and the Zadra Elution Process.- Nearing the end of my placement, I could autonomously run the laboratory on site throughout the 12 hour work shifts assigned.- Experienced a gold room operator role: preparing electrowinning circuits, strip cathodes, participate in a gold pour and see first hand how final gold product is achieved.- Having completed placement here has also increased my awareness for safety on site- Completed daily reports used for production optimisation - Adapted to two week on/one week off fly-in-fly-out rosters, 12 hour shifts (day and night shifts)
