I joined Dr. Ray LC's research project at the City University of Hong Kong through the 'HCIX Research Club'. I independently studied the usage methods, principles of generative artificial intelligence, and qualitative analysis methods. Under Dr. Ray's guidance, I have been engaged in writing for conference journals. Our research topics include how AI can assist online dating users in effectively creating personal profiles, and how it can aid historical novelists by providing character designs, plot outlines, and accurate contextual support.

Since June 2022 to May 2023, I involved in the design of medical devices. My main work is to contribute to hospitals diagnose more efficiently through medical device application scenario research and interdisciplinary product integration design development. In the process, I have been involved as a designer in physical projects such as a vibrating sputum machine, a rehabilitation toy for autistic children, an intubation anesthesia ventilator. We aim to find better recovery methods and a more humane medical experience for patients.

We have created a comprehensive curriculum that combines theoretical knowledge with practical applications of AI tools such as Midjourney, Stable Diffusion and ChatGPT. This included lectures and workshops to teach students how to download, install and effectively use these AI tools. I guided them in crafting effective prompts and integrating AI-generated outputs into their design projects. To assess their understanding and application of AI in design, in a series of lessons we set assignments and projects that allow students to apply what they have learnt to real-world scenarios.
