General Counselors are primarily responsible for the safety, security, and well-being of a group of Tamwood campers. Counselors attend, participate, and deliver camp programming and ensure campers are engaged and happy.• Responsible for managing a Counselor Group (a group of campers)• Supervising campers; in residence, at activities, on excursions, and during meal times• Ensuring campers are prepared and on time for activities• Ensuring camper inclusion within the counselor group and the camp community• Generates and maintains camper enthusiasm for English classes, activities, and other special events• Participating in and assisting with evening programs & and excursions (ex. Disco night, Talent Show, IceSkating, Bowling)• Participating and assisting Activity Instructors with daily activities (ex. sports, kayaking, mountain biking, arts & crafts)• Promoting the English-Only Policy• Assisting with night duty and on-call duty as assigned• Attending all meetings as scheduled by the Camp Administrative Team (ex. Morning Huddle)• Monitoring campers’ health including nutrition, hydration, sun protection, and overall wellness• Assisting with creating and delivering camp programming (ex. Conversation Club and Talent Shows)• Assisting with camper flight arrival and departure procedures• Administering first aid as required• Completion of accident, incident, and discipline report forms as required

Worked in the Textbook Room- ordering requested books, then tagging and registering into the school library system- communicating with teachers, bringing textbook carts to/from classrooms- checking in/out textbooks, organizing checked-in books back into shelves, doing a summer inventory check of all books

- teaching competitive mathematics to a classroom of middle school students participating in MathCounts- organizing and supervising school and district MathCounts competitions, marking the competition tests

- overseeing club funds, running fundraisers (raised $5,000 through organized events), officially registering new members - partnering w/ UNICEF, March of Dimes, Kiwanis Club to do service projects for the homeless, underprivileged children, refugees, etc
