Senior Java developer in a global team with developers and users in US, UK and Singapore• Calypso Implementation, involved designing and writing software to support middle office functionality. The project was required to integrate with existing infrastructure and legacy systems. My tasks and areas worked on included:o Trade Capture – Calypso was only used as a Trade Capture for a small number of instruments and I was involved in the customisation of the Trade Entry screens. For other instruments, I was involved in writing gateways that consumed messages from other systems.o Workflow - For some projects I was the technical BA and configured workflow and developed custom rules.o Inbound/outbound messaging – our implementation connects to MarkItWire and DTCC and I was involved in message configuration, writing of templates and development of gateways.o Reporting – I was involved in extending Calypso’s trade and economic reports. o Reconciliation – as the Calypso implementation was just one of many systems, I was involved in writing reports used for reconciliation and sometimes writing tools which performed reconciliation between systems.o Testing – I have been involved in all aspects of testing, including writing test plans, writing JUnits using Mocks, Fitnesse fixtures, integration testing and mentoring members on the QA team. o Support – Prior to the establishment of the Production Support team, I was always involved in 1st and 2nd line support and currently I provide 3rd line support.
