Erin L. is a International Regional Officer at UNSW. She is proficient in English. She worked with Australian Business Consulting & Solutions (a subsidiary company of the NSW Business Chamber) as a member of the publishing team from 30th March to 5th June 2015. NSW Business Chamber is the primary representative group and provider of business services to small and medium businesses across the state. For the quality of her work, I highly recommend her to all future employers. Erin has taken part in a variety of tasks, involved in all stages of the publishing process. Those tasks included: • Assistant producer and presenter for WorkplaceInfo’s monthly news alert video “The View”: Erin was involved in the production of several of these videos. I was particularly impressed that for one of those videos, a co-presenter was unable to appear, and Erin was able to step in at short notice and take on the role, appearing on camera and delivering the news in a highly professional performance. • Copy-editing: Reviewing stories from writers and editing them for use on news websites • Re-writing stories to tailor them to a more specific audience group • Administrative tasks: Erin became very proficient with our content management system, loading, editing and publishing stories for our websites. She was also a dab hand at data entry, such as developing an Excel spreadsheet schedule for our webinars. • Contributor/content curation liaison: Erin worked independently to contact a list of potential contributors in order to obtain permission to reproduce their material online, greatly increasing the scope of content opportunities for our sites. • Photo library: Erin was extensively involved in building up our photo library, by searching for copyright free photos, identifying photos for purchase and even taking photos around the office and out on the street, for use on our websites. • Online interactivity: At short notice, Erin was able to research and develop a way to simply and effectively embed quizzes into our weekly email newsletters.
