In 2010, Yu Oen founded Optimal Portfolio, an SEC-registered fiduciary investment advisory firm, now a division of Fairport Wealth and Hightower Advisors, LLC.With his corporate finance, investment banking, endowment, and portfolio management background, he created an investment firm with the goals of managing long-term wealth with transparency and proven discipline. At Fairport Wealth: Optimal Portfolio, his clients include families, businesses, and retirement plans. Yu manages his clients’ money along with his own. Previously, Yu was the CFO of MMIT, a private equity backed healthcare technology firm. Early in his career, he was in the private equity and investment banking with The Lodestar Group and Merrill Lynch. Yu was a board member of Chapin School and Co-Chair of the investment committee.Yu was a salutatorian, summa cum laude and Phi Beta Kappa graduate from Boston University School of Management with a finance major. He and his family live in Princeton Junction, NJ.
