I am a marketing professor and researcher at Old Dominion University. My research focuses on issues related to customer loyalty and habit by merging insights from marketing, psychology, analytics, and technology. Through collaboration with national and international companies in travel, retail, financial, and other industries, I have studied extensively the design and effectiveness of loyalty program as a tool for customer retention, cross-selling, and customer growth. With a personal passion for technology, I am also known for my expertise in digital marketing, especially the use of social media for branding and customer engagement purposes.My research has been published in top marketing and advertising journals such as Journal of Marketing, Journal of Interactive Marketing, Journal of Advertising, and Journal of Advertising Research. I've also made media appearances in New York Times, Washington Post, NPR’s Marketplace and With Good Reason programs, and various podcasts.
