About Yuriy O.
Client/Server Application Developer with vast programming experience in Financial, Utility, Government and Communications Industries. Programming activities include creation and development of dynamic, scalable web and client/server applications and web services. Passionate .NET programmer with focus on writing efficient, well balanced code. I learned my first programming language (a BASIC variant) at an age of 13 with my first computer - ZX Spectrum. Never to stop evolving technologically, I soon learned the basics of Assembler on the same computer. My first encounter with modern PC technology was in high school, when I breezed through GWBasic and QBasic. After this, VB6/VBA was a natural choice to further advance my knowledge - which I am still actively using for legacy system maintenance and support. Briefly dabbled with C/C++ and Java - helping me with an occasional 'oddball' projects.I love programming and developing tools to assist me in programming. This, combined with irresistible desire for automation means projects are developed faster, negative QA quality feedback is minimal, after deployment maintenance is uncomplicated and expandable. I love debugging, problem solving, patterns and late night project migrations.I am an outgoing, gregarious person with good communication skills. I partake in company social activities and I am able to say 'Hello' and 'Thank you' in several foreign languages.
