Minter Ellison became a launch pad on the international arena for my career. I started as a Developer/System Analyst for practice management system replacement project. During the project, I was responsible for the solution design and development. Following project completion, my tasks switched to technical consulting, system monitoring and enhancement.From my entry position, I skyrocketed to Senior Developer/Solution Architect within 18 months and then developed my skills and knowledge to the Technical Team Leader role. I was heavily involved in solution design in the following areas:• New business intake process; • Customisation of billing processes; • Billing approval workflows; • Integration modules between Elite 3E and third-party expense management systems, banks, industry benchmarking solutions and others; and• Business Intelligence solution.I initiated creation, designed and implemented Elite 3E performance monitoring tool which helped to prevent overloads over busy month end periods.This journey helped to develop important skill of adapting to a new environment as well as knowledge of legal industry processes.

I joined a local branch of the national construction company who recently detached financial system from the head office. It required full currency conversion including 10 years of historical data to comply with the law. Working closely with accounting and financial control departments this task was accomplished within 3 months matching accounting balances to the dollar!I organised and optimised technology infrastructure and processes. This led to 30% cost reduction and made IT related expenses transparent and predictable.With the team we designed, built and implemented a warehouse management system and integrated it with other systems. This massively improved data flow between departments and stock control processes as well as significantly increased effectiveness and reduced errors. This role helped to develop a new skill of strategic planning and aligning IT strategies and values with company global ones.

During the main course at University, I completed military training alongside a degree and in July 2006 right after graduation, I joined the Russian Army in a rank of Lieutenant.I was allocated to a Space Force unit responsible for the control and management of spacecraft.Due to my IT background, I was responsible for the maintenance and sustainability of the hardware and software performing complex calculations of orbits of celestial bodies. This included:• Maintenance of servers, network and software services;• Maintenance of database servers;• Performance monitoring and security;• Manage a dynamic team of assistants.Within the first year, my team managed to optimise the data flow between departments and achieved error-free data distribution for the next year.The army experience enforced a sense of responsibility and taught me how to manage and lead the team.

Started my career in the IT industry as a software developer within a local branch of national software development warehouse. I joined the financial systems team and started to learn how to design, build and implement them. This role was perfect support of the theoretical knowledge I was gaining at the University at the time.During this relatively short journey with the outstanding team, I have participated in a number of significant projects such as:• Contract management suite for pension Department of Russia;• Automotive fleet expense management system for Department of Current Affairs of Russia;• Precious metals management reporting suite for government party Goznak (analogue of RBA).This role taught me how to play within the team as well as gave a good understanding of software design and development processes.
