I am a Taiwanese architect and constructor. I studied in the National Taiwan University Civil Engineering department (2002-) and graduated from the Tamkang University Department of Architecture (2008). While still studying architecture I joined Finnish architect Marco Casagrande, the Professor of Architecture in Tamkang University, in 2004 and has been participating in the Casagrande Laboratory’s works in MoCA Taipei (2005), Taiwan design EXPO future pavilion (2005) and Venice Biennale Taiwan pavilion (2006) among others. I have been a mentor at the Helsinki University of Technology SGT Sustainable Global Technologies program in 2009 and a researcher in the Taipei based Ruin Academy since 2010. The focus of the cross-disciplinary research is in the design methodology of the Third Generation City, the organic ruin of the industrial city, with the Taipei Basin as the case study. My works move freely in-between architecture and urban design and other disciplines of art and science and have been awarded in international competitions including the World Architecture Community Awards 2009, Word Architecture Festival Awards 2009 and Architectural Review House Awards 2010.Currently besides the C-LAB and Ruin Academy activities I am running an independent design-build group the Constructor Design since 2011 adding a site-specific hands-on element to the architectural design and research.Specialties: Architecture design-builtIndustrial design-builtConstruction managementWood ConstructionSteel Construction
