The Department of Mechanical Engineering at the Faculty of Industrial Technology and System Engineering, Institut Teknologi Sepuluh Nopember has a laboratory dedicated to solid mechanics. The laboratory focuses on the design, analysis of structures, and material strength under static and dynamic loading conditions. It has formed productive partnerships with various companies in the energy, transport, and manufacturing sectors, with a particular focus on medical devices, electric vehicles, and materials handling equipment.

The Student Employment Program is a program that provides work to students in a particular process or type of work assignment in shaping student attitudes and behavior to support the realization of specified learning outcomes.

As one of the main pillars in Industry 4.0, Engineering Simulation is a vital field that must be mastered and even becomes the foundation for other pillars such as Additive Manufacturing, Internet of Things, Artificial Intelligence, to Autonomous Systems, we can test it in a virtual lab called Engineering Simulation.With Engineering simulation, the acceleration of product design or research materials can be obtained significantly by providing access to the virtual lab for each experimental condition. So that the importance of mastering Engineering Simulation is a top priority that needs to be considered by all of us, especially in the world of education. For the sake of the realization of technical experts and graduates who are ready to push towards Indonesia 4.0.The participants will be accompanied in this training by experienced mentors in the industry, especially the CAE or Engineering Simulation Industry. In fact, participants can also discuss directly with other experts in the world or with fellow participants through online community forums. There will be a special category created for Kampus Merdeka participants in the global Ansys Learning Forum which has hundreds of thousands of users and experts from around the world. Here students can ask their technical questions and get answers immediately and they can also discuss and share their progress. This communal approach to learning has been found to be a powerful motivator and an effective way of supporting the soft-skill development of participants.

During the internship period, the author received a particular assignment from CV. C-Maxi Alloycast is the design and development of aluminum melting furnace product designs. Several components of the furnace will be processed using machining, welding, and assembling methods.
