Like Most other industries, Transportation and logistics is currently confronting immense change and like all change, this brings both risk and opportunity. New technology, new market entrants, new customer expectations, and new business models. There are many ways the sector could develop to meet these challenges, some evolutionary, others more revolutionary. Among these are some of the reasons why I was motivated to enroll for a Masters in logistics and supply chain at the Tu Darmstadt in Germany. The course has given me insight of solving different supply chain problems through developing supply chain models and analysing the problems in the industry in order to help logistics companies achieve their strategic and operational goals.Before that, I was part of JW Marriott Marquis Hotel – Dubai from May 2015 to April 2021. An amazing career in the finance department with the leading brand in the Hospitality sector at the moment.May 2015 I joined the tallest hotel in the world as a receiving clerk where I was responsible for all deliveries that were to be used in different sections of the hotel. A smooth journey it was with numerous achievements as an individual and as a team in general. In this position I was a nominee for finance employee of the month 4 times and I was part of the team that ensured the successful implementation of the new system (Birch street system).My level of professionalism pushed me to a more sensitive role and I became an Income auditor In August 2017. I looked at the hotel revenue ensuring all postings were done correctly and reported accurately. I Was responsible for generating reports like Daily Gross Revenue Report, Flash report among others.A year later, I was promoted to being an Accounting Supervisor in charge of General cashier duties, being part of the income audit team as well as conducting departmental hotel audits. There isn’t any better way to learn hotel operation than being part of the audit team. Being an auditor improved my analytical skills and attention to detail. This connected me more with top management which improved my reporting, presentation and leadership skills. All these roles came with a lot of achievements like being finance associate of the month on a number of times. The highlights however were being finance employee of the year in 2019 and Hotel Supervisor of the 3rd Quarter 2020Time has always awarded me the best it could. I have developed over the years in various skills and I believe I could be a great addition to your team in case am given the opportunity to.
