As a Platform Engineer, I am working on optimizing GIS workflows on the AWS cloud, enhancing data visualization, analysis, and processing capabilities. My expertise in Python scripting enables the automation of geospatial operations using libraries such as GDAL/OGR and GeoPandas. I develop robust solutions for spatial database management with PostgreSQL/PostGIS, significantly improving process efficiencies by optimizing memory usage and reducing processing times.In my recent projects, I implemented a scalable solution for storing and accessing large geospatial datasets using Cloud Optimized TIFFs (COGs) hosted on Amazon S3. This project significantly improved data retrieval speeds and reduced storage costs, enabling efficient handling of high-resolution imagery. Additionally, I developed interactive visualizations using vector tiles hosted on GeoServer. This project enhanced user experience by providing smooth, high-performance map interactions and real-time data updates, facilitating better decision-making and analysis.

Worked on visualization, analysis, and processing of geospatial data related to catastrophe and climate change using Python. My key responsibilities included developing Python scripts and tools to automate GIS processes, ensuring their seamless implementation and maintenance.To achieve these tasks, I utilized various Python geospatial libraries such as GDAL/OGR and GeoPandas, and worked extensively with PostgreSQL/PostGIS. I played a pivotal role in enhancing GIS processes by optimizing memory usage and significantly reducing the processing time of existing workflows. Additionally, I created new processes for GIS task automation and efficiently merged large raster datasets.

Worked on four projects, the first of which involved creating an online interactive mapping platform for local authorities. The second project focused on increasing water resilience in certain schools and communities in Delhi. The remaining two projects were aimed at improving health and healthcare infrastructure for urban poor. My duties in these projects included analyzing data, creating reports, planning the projects and managing field staff

I Worked on a research project “Sea-Level rise and Vulnerable Population in India”, my responsibility in the project was to map Sea-level rise and affected population using GIS. (Research Paper publication is under process)

Assisted in a research project by Human settlement management institute, HUDCO regarding in-situ rehabilitation of slums in Mumbai and Delhi, undertaken by the department of physical planning, SPA, Delhi. I worked on the experience of Mumbai city in slum rehabilitation and how its laws and redevelopment methods changed over time in relation to prices of land, political will etc.
