AT&T Foundry project: containers meet IDE.- Tooling project. Provide hooks for your code editor of choice to deploy and use dev tools packaged as individual containers. Each container outputs data fed into the next, creating a directed graph. The code is written in Python, with a Vim plugin.Future Networking project: Content-Centric Networking.- Drive and organize CCN-related research at Ericsson across 4 teams in 3 timezones. Collaborate with relevant business unit and ensure bilateral communication.- Design, implement, patent and demonstrate optimizations and extensions to CCN. Examples: using regular expressions in names to bulk-query sets of data; in-network data transformation (unit conversions for IoT, image transformations) to personalize and adapt data on-the-fly. The code is written in Python around the ccn-lite software router.SDN project: Virtual Enterprise Gateway.- Demonstrate VNF service chaining using OpenFlow, OpenStack and OpenDaylight.

Research:Linux-based dynamic service platform.Basically, my own version of containers, before Docker existed and when LXC was in its infancy.Wrote userspace code to pilot Linux control groups, namespaces, shared subtrees.In addition to resource control, these containers also offer deployment and lifecycle management for modular applications, loosely modeled after OSGi in the Java world.The code is written in C. Latest activities include QA testing, performance analysis and scalability optimization.Standardization:Alcatel-Lucent delegate to the Home Gateway Initiative.Contributor to the SWEX task force (Software execution environment on the home gateway). Lead for SWEX testing in the annual HGI Test Event. Major code contributor to the SWEX test suite: testing framework, security tests. The code is written in Java.Technical expertise:Advise the CPE business unit for a new embedded(-ish) product. Implement security setup of the device. Live support to pass the above mentioned HGI Test Event. Compare performance and compliance using multiple JVMs and OSGi framework vendors.

Students implement a P2P node in C, according to given specifications. Their implementations must cooperate during the final examination.- Middleware, JEE- Web Services: lecture course on REST, SOAP, WSDL, XML and friends.- REST practical course: integrate Youtube and Audioscrobbler services, publish mashup servlets with Tomcat.

Title: Execution environments for home gateways.As part of the MUSE European project with telecom vendors and operators, we propose a new business model for home gateways, where they are open to third parties to install and run modular applications. From there, we derive technical requirements: local software isolation, local supervision, remote monitoring facilities and a deployment infrastructure. The main implementation is based on Java/OSGi; it runs on middle-end type of gateways, and leverages OSGi’s service-oriented programming model.
