The role requires knowledge of sonar, solid-state lasers, and radio-frequency electronics. More specifically, I test, troubleshoot, program, and fix electronic subassemblies using network analyzers, spectrum analyzers, huntrons, oscilloscopes, signal generators, flukemeters, meggers, hipot testers, etc. My role demands self-management, frequent communication with assemblers/engineers, and process oversight, all being traits critical for mission success. Before Lockheed Martin, I worked mostly in analog and high-voltage applications; this new role gives me a chance to gain more experience and build expertise with digital electronics and cutting-edge assemblies and systems.

Tested, inspected, and fixed newly manufactured drives for Industrial motors (fracking, oil-rigs, mining, nuclear power plants, etc.). Worked mostly on Medium-Voltage Drives (3160 VAC input, variable output), which required related safety guidance and knowledge specific to high-power devices. Assisted in manufacturing, Lean, and 5S initiatives, and teamed up with Electrical Engineers to verify that all products meet functional and safety standards. Performed some programming and coding on computerized systems responsible for controlling the drive. Worked on switch gears and acquired many hours of experience running heavy industrial motors with said drives.

Taught kindergarten through twelfth-grade students in a variety of different subjects. Assisted during teachers’ absence with all manner of activities.

Instructed beginner ESL students and other adult learners in the English language. Supervised Penn State University student teachers while teaching an Intermediate English class. Prepared advanced ESL students for the iBT and paper-based TOEFL exams.

Diagnosed technical issues and faults with vehicle cluster, gauge, and speedometer units. Performed preventative maintenance and fixes by resoldering electronic subassemblies (cold-solder joints).
