Amassing many successes including securing Arts Council England (ACE) National Portfolio status in 2015 and joining founders, Adam Moses and Justin McKenzie as the third partner in the business, Yvette has worked to enhance, elevate and expand the vision, increasing the quality and level of output at JRF resulting in a major paradigm shift, changing the landscape and profile of UK Jazz - nationally and internationally. Since 2017, Jazz re:freshed has been leading the seminal JAZZ RE:FRESHED OUTERNATIONAL, an initiative to export the diverse and exciting elements of UK Jazz around the world and ultimately create a global spotlight for British Jazz. Our activity has been featured in the New York times focussing on our New York events and NPR radio dedicated an entire JAZZ NIGHT IN AMERICA show to introducing the current British Jazz scene, focussing specifically on the first ever UK Jazz showcase at SXSW 2017 curated and hosted by Jazz re:freshed in Austin Texas and aired across the US to over 1,000,000 listeners. These spotlights played significant roles in initiating the world focus on, and fortunes of UK Jazz and triggered a stream of international and national media interest in the scene and artists within it. Such significant work has led to JRF being established as a key part of the UK Jazz ecology with a recognised progression pathway for diverse new and emerging artists starting with the weekly live residency. The impact of Jazz re:freshed’s strategies and operational excellence, has been acknowledged by industry, illustrated by numerous award nominations for Jazz re:freshed and many associated young, female and/or diverse artists over the years. In 2020, Jazz re:freshed's small not for profit record label won Best Independent Label in the Association of Independent Music Awards and the award for Innovation in the Jazz FM 2020 Awards.
