Xavier House is the first-ever foster group home that seeks out and provides care for high potential youth in the foster care system. Xavier House provides an environment where youth feel understood for their strong opinions, depth of desire to learn and need for stability and connection. With its design firmly rooted in gifted education research, Xavier House’s model supports and scaffolds residents’ learning instead of just leaving them on their own to “live up to their potential”. Specially selected and trained staff create a calming, welcoming space where residents can feel a sense of belonging among like-minded peers.

Supervised a unit of 5 foster care case workers who had a case load with a majority of high needs teens. Assisted with court documentation preparation and appearances. Tracked trends and monitored activities to ensure contract measures were met.

Conducted file audits, incident report tracking and comprehensive critical incident reviews. Developed tools for monitoring contract measures and child well-being outcomes.
