An African feminist, leader, and advocate for social justice based in Nairobi with over 15 years of experience in gender programming, advocacy, network coordination, resource mobilisation and grant management. My contribution to philanthropy is in enhancing the integration of equity approaches across grantmaking. I am proud to sit on the Kenyan Board of the Creative Action Institute and act as an Advisor at Eyala, a platform that centres and amplifies the voices and lived experiences of African women and girls in all their diversity. Previously, I have worked at Hopewell Fund, Girls Not Brides, FEMNET and the International Planned Parenthood Federation, Africa Region. I have a master’s degree in Development focusing on Women, Gender, and Development from the Institute of Social Studies, The Hague and an undergraduate degree in International Relations from USIU- Africa.
