LET ME GIVE YOU AN EXAMPLEA child in my care started to be constantly thirsty, even though he lacked energy and did not want to join in with any outdoor play/activities. This very quickly had the additional problem of constantly needing the toilet, even shortly after already going, I noted this behavior over a few days and then mentioned to the parent as this behavior could be consistent with diabetes.THE RESULTThe parent monitored the child over the weekend and subsequently took the him to the doctor, where it was confirmed he was diabetic and was given the help he needed.
