Advancing into a challenging role within one of the world’s largest insurance brokerages, I was hired to deliver corporate health and wellness solutions for businesses across diverse industries while managing, retaining, and expanding relationships with major clients.Key achievements in this role included building a high-impact global wellness program serving 1,400 employees across three continents with resources available in three languages. Hired to manage a one-person department within Humana’s South Florida office, I brought new life into an underperforming wellness program, developing a comprehensive regional strategy to improve program offerings and participation while strengthening budget management, training, and internal operations.Working closely with our account management team, I launched the HumanaVitality Program for major public- and private-sector clients in the region, coordinating the rollout schedule and follow-up events.To meet diverse client needs while keeping costs low, I cultivated and developed strategic partnerships with a large vendor network offering a wide range of services. This was instrumental to the success of the health fairs, educational seminars, flu shot clinics, and other wellness events and initiatives I spearheaded.One notable achievement in this role was a flu shot event I coordinated across 100+ clinics. Immediately identifying opportunities to streamline operations for maximum efficiency and cost-effectiveness, I engaged nurses from local hospitals to administer the shots (at no cost to Humana) and trained our internal account management team to provide support at vaccine sites to ensure each event ran smoothly. Creating a highly organized plan with a detailed schedule, I ensured that each vaccine site had the supplies and staffing they needed to accomplish the goal.
