I used computer simulation to solve theoretical and real world problem by conducting molecular dynamics simulation on multi scale systems and obtaining the physical properties from simulation trajectories based on statistical mechanics. My research focuses on amphiphilic polymer self-assembly, interface adsorption of polyelectrolytes and adsorption of biofuel products on silica based material. The project I've been working or worked on are as following, 1. Temperature and pressure dependence of the interfacial free energy against a hard surface in contact with water and decane.2. Conformational properties of amphiphilic dendrons in non-polar environment. Developed coarse grained molecular model for dendrons based on Martini force field, studied conformational properties and aggregation behavior. 3. Binding and conformational properties of two amphiphilic dendron molecules. Used umbrella sampling technique and studied the binding free energy for different dendron molecules.4. Effect of positions of charged functional group on deep-cavity cavitand on the binding properties of the deep-cavity cavitand and charged guest molecules.5. Adsorption of biofuel products (acetic acid and guaiacol) on silica based material with several degree and types of functionalities.
