Yankun Zhao is currently studying at Collin College to pursue a degree in genetics. In the upcoming years, his goal is to transfer back to Texas A&M and graduate. He is interested in finding an entry level job within the field of genetics, and he believes it is important to work from the bottom since it can firm up the foundation of the field of study. He previously considered himself a calm and logical person, which he is, but people around him generally think he is also a friendly, warm and trustworthy person. Yankun is passionate about health and body recovery because he knows the pain of being unhealthy. He was constantly sick while he was young, so he wants to help to prevent others from getting sick or injured. However, in order to assist patients, he knows that he needs to communicate a lot, yet he was too shy to speak. Therefore, he took several speaking classes, and he is now comfortable talking with anyone with confidence. Yankun has worked as a warehouse employee for eight months, and then he got promoted to manager even though his boss knew Yankun could work for three more months. He also developed several interests during his free time which he can trouble shoot computer hardware, video editing and construct 3D modeling.
