After finishing my Bachelor’s Degree in mechanical engineering with Honor’s in Australia as part of The Custodian of The Holy Mosques Scholarship Program, I immediately joined the workforce. Starting as a mechanical design engineer in FAEC Engineering Consultants where I worked on design calculations and engineering schemes for HVAC, PLUMBING, FIREFIGHTING for different types of buildings. I then moved to oil and gas industry, joining HALLIBURTON as a Research and Development Mechanical Engineer. This is where I travelled to Singapore to train on processing customers requests, established rapports, got inspiration from superiors experiences, adapted to circumstantial changes to maintain efficiency, was exposed to workshops, worked on design improvement of different types of tools, and a lot more! Currently I am a master’s student at KAUST where I am attending different advanced courses in mechanical engineering and working in high speed imaging laboratory. Jumping from employee life to student life after about 4 years of employment took a huge adjustment and enhanced my adaptability, resilience, and ability to communicate and build a life with new surroundings and new people.
