Through this position, I have performed the following duties:- Plans programs and events for adults in the community- Manages a staff of 12 to include: hiring, supervision, evaluation, and delegation of tasks- Recommends improvements in the library systems, procedures, and computer resources- Provides outreach and collaboration opportunities with community partners- Performs collection development by purchasing new materials and purging as needed- Maintains positive rapport with staff, patrons, and external organizations- Maintains statistical records, prepares and presents monthly reports related to the work

Through this experience I have gained the following skills: Customer service- Greeted patients and verified personal demographics when checking in- Served as an intermediary between patients and nurses- Collected payments at the time of visit- Verified insurance prior to appointments- Understanding and Implementing HIPAA lawsMultitasking- Manage the schedule of multiple physicians: scheduling, canceling and checking in patients. - Manage a multi-line phone system, often transferring calls to physicians, nurses, and other departments - Fax, copy, scan, and mail pertinent patient information to the necessary parties- Ordered office supplies for both front desk and nursing staff- Floated between twelve different medical offices within 4 different buildings - Frequently trained new office assistants due to high turnover rate
