About Zahra Sarmast

I’ve recently joined the Centre for Sustainable Operations and Resilient Supply Chains (CSORSC) at the Adelaide University Business School as a PhD student, My research focuses on advancing sustainability and resilience in supply chains, leveraging data analytics to develop innovative solutions for today’s evolving industries.Before starting my PhD, I accumulated over 9 years of experience as a Quality Management System (QMS) specialist while utilizing data-driven approaches to optimize organizational performance. During this time, I developed strong expertise in data analytics, conduct root-cause analyses, and drive corrective actions. My research papers on applying data analytics in warranty management and process optimization have been well-received, showcasing my ability to translate complex data into actionable insights.In my professional career, I have consistently thrived in dynamic environments where data and analytical thinking are key to success. My background in business process management (BPMN) and Six Sigma methodologies (DMAIC & DMADV) has enabled me to engage with cross-functional teams, analyze organizational processes, and recommend data-driven improvements.     I have entered Dotin as a quality management system expert. I started learning to develop organizational processes, procedures, instructions, and forms with great team partners and managers. As I entered the company, my team was preparing the organization for the EFQM assessment audit. I cooperated in the implementing process and tried to be an expert in the excellence model. Also, My other tasks were developing process indicators (KPIs), measuring and implementing analytical reports, auditing departments according to ISO 9001 standards and EFQM organizational excellence model, and providing analytical reports of process monitoring. After a while, another duty was added to my mission to manage the Operating Portal of the organization (In Sharepoint), being the administrator of lists, access controls, and designing forms and, developing processes using Nintex Workflow.
