As a jazz pianist and master improvisor, I know first hand that good design is not art; it’s problem solving. A desire to help my teachers and musicians with their website and online presence turned into a Web Development career, with a focus on UX engineering and CSS. I started our with simple page builders, then Wordpress, then CSS and HTML and javaScript. As a professional performer for over two decades, I excel under pressure and found that I really enjoy sprints and the excitement that goes into meeting deadlines and shipping great products.I first got into development in Grad School, where I helped co-development on-line course delivery systems for Jazz Education and learned about video and audio production and editing. After a lifetime of focusing on music and listening, I discovered that I had a talent, or as my professor called "the eye".I grew up with a father who owned an advertising agency, and step-mother who was a graphic artist, so I've been around this field my entire life. After my masters, I got a job as an adjunct professor at The University of Florida and from that I started transitioning to a Web Development career.I started working for my father's advertising agency, Adbiz, and took over all aspects of the business. As CTO, I've been responsible for delivering great websites to our clients. The next step in my career was getting hired by New Millenia Consulting for a paid internship position. At NMC, I really got to hone my Development, and Design skills. Not only did I get the opportunity to learn Angular, React and Tailwind libraries, I also took over all the UX Design duties. So I can not only handle all the responsibilities of a front end developer, I can also cover the UX Design role if needed, and design beautiful layouts with great UX.I’m a happy positive person, fun to work with, flexible, appreciate criticism and crush deadlines.
