Overview: Our team (Zac King, Yasir Hockla) Senior Capstone project at DePaul University established a working relationship with (Jack Beacham) the President of Aventure Works. Which Provides systems integration, business intelligence, and related management services to private and public companies.Purpose/Goals: The revamping of site (stories-of-god.com) which lasted from DePauls Autumns and Winter quarters, approximately seven months from September to March. The project's main objective consisted of revamping the website and improving SEO using agile development. The project's goals were to revamp the website to create a more UX-friendly website for users, bring more awareness to the clients play by driving more traffic to the website with SEO.Significance: The website did not have a working menu system to allow user's to select pages to view. Previously had dead links that were affecting performance and a homepage that did not fit the websites new play theme. The pages were dark and affected the ability for users to read and see links. The site was not SEO optimized which hurt the amount of traffic through the site. Benefits: The revamped website allows users to easily view pages and find new pages through the new menu. The overall appearance is now more UX-friendly which makes allows users to easily navigate the site. SEO optimization improved the ability for users to find the site when searching keywords.Implementation Method: The projects organization used the values and expectations of a scrum framework. We established the proper agile developer behavior, characteristics, and benchmarks to gauge team member contributions. Project deliverables were gathered and changed to fit the clients needs. The team worked off an established product backlog/Agile iteration plan accordingly to weekly development sprints.
