As a Product Manager, I navigate the lifecycle of over 5,000 products on a global scale, ensuring they meet the evolving desires of our customers while adhering to stringent industry standards and compliances. My role is a unique blend of technical precision, strategic planning, and heartfelt customer service:- Global Product Lifecycle Management: I steer the journey of our products from inception to market, ensuring their relevance and compliance at every stage.- Supplier and Barcode Creation: With GS1 training under my belt, I adeptly handle the creation of supplier codes, barcodes (GTIN13s & GTIN14s), laying the groundwork for seamless product identification and tracking.- Customer Insights: Collaborating closely with the sales team, I’m instrumental in translating customer needs into actionable product development or updates, ensuring we stay ahead of market demands.- Compliance and Standards: My role requires constant liaison with the engineering team to ensure our products not only meet customer expectations but also comply with industry standards.- Information Transparency: I champion data transparency and up-to-date product information across our global teams, ensuring seamless access to critical product history and details.- Product Information Management: My expertise extends to managing and safeguarding comprehensive product information within our internal systems and external platforms like Bunnings SAP Hybris.- Customer Service Excellence: Drawing on my background in customer service and warranty, I personally step in to address customer service calls, embodying our commitment to customer satisfaction.- Team Leadership: Beyond my primary responsibilities, I mentor and manage a team of three, distributing overflow work to ensure efficiency and continuity in our operations. Forklift certified and always happy to get hands on and help when needed.

Customer service and warranty position began in 2018 and I have never put down the role. Progressing through to my current role as Product Manager I still answer excess calls and when short-staffed e.g over holiday periods I run the customer service. I love it, communicating with customers / helping people find the best outcome motivates me as a Product Manager. Having that "customer service" voice when in the middle of tough phone calls has created a lot of personal growth, to not take those calls personally.
