Created site suitability maps for EV charging stations in Washington based off of: Environmental Health Disparities, Justice40 disadvantaged community designations, census demographic data, locations of highways, current EV ownership rates, and existing charging infrastructure to determine where needs for charging stations are greatest. Created geodata layers from the non-georeferenced data available for geospatial data analysis

Managed and organized data collections from participating counties and state agencies, authored original metadata, and used ArcGIS Pro for publication to the Geodata@Wisconsin geoportal. Conducted quality control and quality analysis on LiDAR dataset metadata in multiple file formats. Uploaded over 16,000 historic aerial photos from the 1940’s and 50’s to the State Cartographer’s Office’s web mapping tool: WHAIFinder (Wisconsin Historic Aerial Imagery Finder)

Created geodata designating census tracts in California that qualified for EV infrastructure grants. Overlaid geospatial data layers of racial demographics, multi-family housing units, distance from existing EV infrastructure, and others to inform EVCS’s successful grant application

Co-wrote The Decisive Decade: An Emerging Roadmap for Transportation Decarbonization and Cleaner Air report conducting life-cycle cost analyses on multiple decarbonization projects in Washington state to inform the state legislature on climate investments. Conducted economic analysis on electrifying drayage trucks in Washington. Regularly presented findings to the Transportation Decarbonization Working Group comprised of local business leaders in the transportation sector, as well as to other external clients. Summarized findings of Airminers’ Boot Up course detailing Carbon Dioxide Removal Technologies in an internal whitepaper for Clean and Prosperous Washington

Handled daily finances of Bistro and Deli, prepared seafood, and created the Bistro’s most expensive and extravagant dish “Captain Zac’s Seafood Platter” which sells for $80 per plate. Added Buck Bay Shellfish Farm to The Nature Conservancy’s Shellfish Growers Climate Coalition

As a team member of Clean and Prosperous Washington, contributed to the passage of Washington state's Climate Commitment Act, which instituted the second statewide, economy-wide cap-and-invest carbon pricing scheme in the United States. Worked on a campaign for the Climate Crisis and Education Act in Maryland. Wrote and presented political Landscape Analyses to inform climate campaigns in Oregon and Washington state, wrote articles on timely climate stories in the Pacific Northwest, and conducted interviews and outreach to major climate stakeholders to expand the SCPN’s resources and membership.

Planned and organized meetings, conducted constituent casework, and supported Representative Karin Power of OR House District 41 at events. Represented Rep. Power at legislative meetings. Worked on cap-and-trade and other bills to be introduced in the legislature.

Helped create the Student Policy Coordinator position; represented the office at recruiting events, planned fundraising projects with the OSU Foundation, conducted sustainability review of university research projects to inform national reporting; also worked with Faculty Senate, Transportation Services, and Business Center to implement a campus-wide carbon offset program to charge for travel emissions from university-sponsored travel, with proceeds going towards university sustainability projects.

Presented to prospective students at recruiting events and discussed advantages of attending the OSU Honors College. Also conducted bookkeeping, marketing, and admissions tasks for the HC administrative office.

Lobbied and organized statements of support from voters for Oregon’s Clean Energy Jobs Cap-and-Invest bill

As a member of the OSU Student Body President’s Cabinet, organized projects/initiatives focusing on educating the student body about environmental topics, lobbying for environmental issues, and providing opportunities for students to get involved in environmental activism at the university level. Projects/Initiatives include: o Establishing “Grads Give Back” to collect and distribute used graduation gowns to low-income graduates o Planning and hosting educational events like: “An Inconvenient Sequel” screening and panel discussion, “Eating Animals” screening and panel discussion, “Deeper than Science” talk on religion and climate change, and a community dialogue with Youth v. Gov plaintiff Levi discussing the Juliana v. U.S. caseo Lobbying state elected officials to support the Clean Energy Jobs Cap-and-Invest Bill in 2018 and 2019o Conducting Green Building Initiative fundraiser for solar thermal panels on Kelley Engineering Center and presented my experience starting a fundraising initiative as a student at WOHESC 2018o Co-founding the “Last Dam Straw” campaign to eliminate plastic straws in campus dining stations.o Lobbying the ASOSU Cabinet to fund a Pedal Corvallis Bike Share Station on campus for studentso Passing ASOSU legislation including: 1) 2018 Resolution calling on every OSU office to take a Green Office Certification; 2) 2019 Bill to offset campus emissions from air travel; 3) 2019 Resolution for OSU and OSU Foundation Leadership to prioritize fundraising for its Carbon Neutral 2025 goal, hire staff to increase building efficiency, and charge university departments directly for their utility use
