Following a year abroad I came back to SHAPE with a new role.Responsible for:• Creating and implementing an IT vision and strategy.• Planning, organising, and managing all of SHAPE’s IT functions.• Leading and mentoring a team of 5 across 2 states.• Supporting 450 staff across 7 main offices and 60+ site offices.• Vendor negotiations and management.• Managing the IT budget.Recent Projects:• Migrated from On Prem Exchange to Office 365.• Implemented Microsoft Teams as a collaboration platform.• Migrated from a Cisco VC platform across to Microsoft Teams.• Migrated from a Telstra WAN to TPG\Meraki SD WAN.• Implemented AlwaysOnVPN to replace a private Telstra APN.• Migrated the Business from Windows 7 to Windows 10.• External security review.

Was brought on with BW to migrate an on premise DataCetre to the cloud, making use of Office 365, Egnyte and Azure among others.Other tasks completed while here:- Replaced the Firewall based VPN with Microsoft Direct Access.- Changed the Office network Netmask to allow a larger DHCP Scope.- Implemented an updated spam filter.- Migrated the Business from Windows 7 to Windows 10

BAU:• Managed 50+ Servers across 5 small offices and 2 main data centres.• Patched and updated Windows and Linux servers• Daily, Weekly and Monthly backups to Disk and Tape• Active monitoring on Servers and Network to proactively resolve any issues before affecting the business.Projects:• Implemented a new Audio Visual standard across the business.• Office Printer Refresh across 7 offices.• Site printing overhaul.• Connectivity from site refresh. (Centos/Asterisk/Polycom)• WAN Upgrade• Multiple Office Relocations (Data, Phones, Servers)• System Centre Configuration Manager 2012 Installation• 2 Windows 7 Upgrades / SOE Development• Data Center Upgrade• Shared Drive restructure and reorganize• Exchange 2010\Lync 2010 InstallManage Service Desk:• Responsible and Accountable for the complete services of the Service Desk.• Mentor/train and develop direct reports.• Ensure that the members of the Service Desk keep to the SLAs we provide the business.• Lead and manage the members of the Service Desk to ensure the above is met.• Team spread across 2 offices supporting 7.Vendor Management \ Billing:• Keep vendors honest to make sure they are working for Shape and we are not working for them• Ensure that Shape is always getting the best value for money through the above.• Keep on top of all bills making sure that Shape is never over charged for services provided by vendors and that credits are applied where required.
