Process Engineer in a toll compounding facility- Responsible for supporting and setting up trials such as new raw materials, new formulations and new products- Worked directly with customer to communicate any issues during production trials- Worked directly with production floor to help resolve any issues during trials- Planned project work such as plant ventilation system and scrubbers- Justified capex projects for facility

Responsible for 4 shifts of production across several product lines. Driving improvement in throughput and efficiencies in all areas.Responsible for implementing and sustaining 5s activities along with quick-change tooling projects.

- Engineering support: See below, in addition I design, improve, retrofit, and do any technical work needed to make the plant function. This includes extrusion lines, off-line equipment (air compressors, resin conveying systems, water chillers, etc)- Facility layouts: Layout of new or expanded facilities and related infrastructure- Capital projects: See below, in addition I work to develop capital budgets across facilities for future years.- Extrusion process improvements: Work with facilities to identify process problems and ways we can improve. I specialize in projects where capital is required and often develop cost justification. From there I help implement, or when time permits I implement myself. - KPI/metric tracking: Write custom and very specific KPI reports for senior management in a variety of ways (MS Excel, SAP, Fourth Shift ERP, MS Access, Salesforce.com)

I worked closely with the maintenance department on various projects. They were as simple as grounds upkeep to supporting process and equipment improvements and 5S activities.

I worked closely with the manufacturing cell to establish capabilities of equipment, re-allocate equipment, and improve processes.

I scheduled 20 cleaning crews on a 5 day week. I spoke directly with customers and crew and communicated extensively in Spanish.
