I was on the front of house staff of a full service diner open all night. As a server, I worked morning shifts for over a year. Here I learned to adapt to a high speed work environment while maintaining a warm, personal demeanor. As a server I played a key role in communicating important information between the guests, the kitchen, management and fellow servers. I learned to take ownership of mistakes and use problem solving to earn the satisfaction of guests.

At the foot of the Continental Divide, I was a dining room staff member at a luxury dude ranch resort just outside of Steamboat Springs. With my team, I maintained the tidiness and flow of the dining room. I also learned all of our guests’ names and spent three meals a day getting to know them. Excellence was the standard as the entire staff worked and lived together in the stunning Rocky Mountain property.
