I am a recent graduate of the University of Nebraska Omaha. I graduated with a Bachelor's of Science degree in biology with a minor in environmental science. My cumulative GPA is 3.46. During school I took several biology and chemistry classes which included labs. I have experience with computers and I am skilled with Microsoft Office. I have also gained leadership skills and event planning skills through my fraternity, Sigma Phi Epsilon. I have been a coordinator in the membership development program of my fraternity and I am currently on the executive board of the fraternity. I am currently an intern at the Omaha Henry Doorly Zoo and Aquarium. I work in the Desert Dome and Kingdoms of the Night exhibits. I assist zoo keepers with the care of various desert and nocturnal mammal and bird species. I am tasked with disinfecting exhibits and back holding areas. I also help prepare diets and feed animals. I previously was an intern in the aquarium birds department at the Omaha Henry Doorly Zoo where I gained similar experience with penguins, puffins, and toucans. I am looking for employment working with wildlife or in a laboratory where I can gain further experience.
