I am an adaptable and determined leader who is looking forward to advancing the sustainability of materials. This is my fourth year of undergraduate study in the Materials Science and Engineering program at The Ohio State University. Currently, I am submitting graduate school applications while also exploring tissue engineering and wound healing jobs.I have almost two years of experience working in a polymers lab electrospraying novel micro-particles for intraspinal drug delivery to heal spinal cord injuries. Additionally, I have roughly one year of experience working in a wound healing lab electrospinning dermal templates, performing cell culture, and developing a novel bioadhesive. During these experiences I have had the honor to work with many individuals who identify with minority groups. I have learned from them academically and socially; therefore, I intend to build a community that fosters both innovation and diversity at any graduate program or job.Lastly, I love to stay active by working out at the campus gym or walking my dog. In my free time I enjoy cooking, my favorite dish is fresh pasta and bolognese. I became interested in biomaterials because I could use my passion for materials engineering to create products that clinically improve a persons life.
